Our program is led by Dr. Lawrence Kashat, a board-certified otolaryngologist and fellowship-trained laryngologist who is among a small group of physicians in Michigan with advanced subspecialty training dedicated exclusively to voice, airway, and swallowing disorders. Patients across the region turn to Dr. Kashat and his team for answers when symptoms are complex, persistent, or difficult to diagnose.

We combine advanced diagnostics, thoughtful collaboration, and individualized care plans to uncover the root of each patient’s condition. Working closely with speech-language pathologists and other specialists, our team delivers coordinated care for disorders of the voice, throat, and airway, all under one program designed around you.

Dr. Kashat completed his fellowship at the University of Michigan and his residency at the University of Connecticut. He previously served as Director of the Center for Voice, Airway, and Swallowing Disorders at Wayne State University, where he also trained future physicians as a Clinical Assistant Professor.
